Open position - Export Manager

Elfa is recruiting an Export Manager. The role is based in Malmö, and the start date is as soon as possible.

At Elfa, the Export Manager plays a pivotal role in driving forward the growth strategy of the group. Although Elfa's primary market is within Sweden and the Nordic countries, there is as well a significant potential for international expansion. With the objective of expanding Elfa's global sales, the Export Manager's primary focus is to implement the established strategy for international sales, which includes building new partnerships, particularly in Western Europe.

Key tasks:

  • Identify and develop new customer relationships
  • Establish new customer key accounts
  • Nurture enduring business partnerships with existing distributors, providing support and fostering mutual growth
  • Handle price negotiations, contracts, and conduct price analysis
  • Conduct market and customer analysis to set and refine customer plans and objectives
  • Collaborate closely with Elfa’s Sales team, Supply, and Customer support

The role is based at the Head office in Malmö, Sweden and requires frequent travelling mainly within Western Europe. Approximately 70-90 travelling days per year.

For the role of Export Manager, we are seeking someone who is persistent, identifies opportunities, and possesses the resilience to achieve success. You are a business-minded salesperson, with a proven track record of developing strong customer accounts and negotiating complex contracts. Previous experience in Key Account Management within large retail/DIY chains is highly desirable. A strong business acumen, along with excellent communication skills and the ability to foster relationships both internally and externally, is essential. Achieving the set objectives will require persistence, strong organizational skills, and a collaborative approach.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a customer-centric environment, working closely with clients and colleagues to achieve collective goals.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience from working with international sales and account management
  • Experience from working with DIY-chains, retail chains and/or distributors
  • Experience in negotiating framework agreements at central level
  • Extensive experience in new business development.
  • Academic degree is meriting
  • Fluent in Swedish and English
  • Knowledge in German and French is meriting
